There’s been a lot of debate about the Hitchhiker lyrics, and even some crazy nonsensical stuff thrown around as potential. I’ve been listening extra hard and thinking it through and I’ve posted below what I believe to be the correct lyrics to Hitchhiker so that you can all sing along!
Looks like instead of hitting New York Pride, Aubrey will appear at San Francisco Pride, bringing the message of “Ride with Pride” to this year’s event. She’ll team up with Virgin America to ride atop their float with music spun by local San Francisco DJ, Fifty Pound Note.
Peep the cover of Aubrey’s issue of Icon Magazine, which hits the Internet on July 1. She looks gorg! Sidenote: Icon is not available in stores as it’s digital mag, so it’ll be no time before we have her feature.
Check out this new photo from Aubrey’s cover shoot for Icon Magazine out on July 1st. It definitely looks a lot better than those candid shots that we saw earlier. Can’t wait for the full spread!

Aubrey called into the Gravy In The Morning show on 105.3 Hot-FM for a quick interview where she spilled the beans about what goes down with Andrea Aundrea in tonight’s All About Aubrey finale! The interview is not embeddable but you can listen to it by clicking here.
Following her sudden departure from the Diddy-forged group Danity Kane, many assumed that Aubrey O’Day’s career had come to an an end. However, with a hit reality show, ‘All About Aubrey’, and a new single, ‘Automatic’, under her belt, it seems that Aubrey will indeed have the last laugh.
In this exclusive interview with That Grape Juice, the singer/dancer revealed interesting details about her upcoming solo debut album, being signed to a new label and what we expect to see on the season finale of her show tonight on Oxygen at 10pm. Aubrey also spoke candidly about her stuggles as a celebrity and why she thinks people have problems with accepting her as a real artist.
Trent: Your new single, ‘Automatic’, will be released to iTunes on April 12th. Tell us about the concept behind the record?
Aubrey: ‘Automatic’ was actually the first song that I recorded when going back into the studio. You actually see me recording it on my show on Oxygen, ‘All About Aubrey’ – it comes on Mondays at 10pm – and with this song we wanted to keep in touch with what’s hot right now with Dance/Club music on the radio.
The track is about not having to put on the expensive shoes – Louboutins or the Jimmy Choos. It’s also about not having to put on the expensive dresses or looking a certain way to get people’s attention. It’s about having the confidence to be able to walk into a room and being able to steal everybody’s attention automatically. It’s about all of that!
I’ve updated the gallery with all of the screen captures from tonight’s finale episode of All About Aubrey, “Show Stoppin’ Solo”. Check them out by clicking the photo links as usual!
Trying to climb the music industry ladder is tough enough, but Aubrey O’Day has also spent the last six years lugging a camera crew up the rungs with her. First on “Making The Band” and now with “All About Aubrey,” Oxygen’s new docuseries that chronicled her attempts to launch a post-Danity Kane solo career.
I use the past tense because that goal was recently accomplished — and documented — on the show, which means it’s time for Aubrey to get down to audio business. But before she puts the finishing touches on her solo album, she sat down with PopWrap to talk about tonight’s “All About Aubrey” season finale.
PopWrap: Did you approach the show with any particular plan in mind?
Aubrey O’Day: I didn’t have any goals coming into it – there was never an idea of how I wanted to be portrayed or what I was trying to accomplish. I just wanted to make a real reality show again. For me, I feel like reality TV is anything but these days. I wanted to make a show that spoke to vulnerability and struggle and standing up after falling down. And you can only do that if you’re being honest.
Aubrey O’Day, who endured a very public split with girl group Danity Kane, is not shy about sharing her struggles with the world. She is not apprehensive about laying her cards face up on the table, letting her fans and adoring public in on some aspects of her private world. It’s a risky way to be, but for O’Day, the dividends are beneficial and worth it, as being open and honest connects her even more deeply to her fans. Her infectious, electro-pop new single, “Automatic,” is out now and it’s the dance anthem of the summer; you will not be able to escape the song’s gravitational pull as it will magnetically attract you to the dance floor! It’s that good.
ARTISTdirect.com News Editor Amy Sciarretto spoke to O’Day just as the single landed and she was candid about her feelings for her former Danity Kane bandmates; working as a solo artist; putting her struggles in the spotlight; and her ability to make high end clothes for her dogs. Aubrey O’Day is a powerhouse who may be so hot that she sets off smoke alarms and her new single may cause you to put down your drink and saunter on the dance floor of whatever club you are gracing with your presence, but underneath it all, she’s as real and as down-to-earth as you are. She has fears, she rises when she falls and she knows what she wants. This is, after all, a girl who was handpicked by P. Diddy as part of MTV’s Making the Band and who followed up her exit from Danity Kane on Broadway in Hairspray. There’s something special about Aubrey O’Day — her personality is as infectious as her new single!
You can check O’Day out on her highly rated Oxygen network show, All About Aubrey.
When the day came for Aubrey O’Day to sign her record deal with SRC Motown Universal, she didn’t let a moment pass by forgotten. Clad in a classy, white summer dress, a navy business suit overcoat, and beige stilettos, the former Danity Kane member documented every step of the way. From standing underneath the famed Universal logo outside of the building, to sitting alongside label head, Steve Rifkind, O’Day posted her pictures on Twitter to officially mark the start of her solo career.
“It started off as a long work day, like any other day does,” the singer recounts. “As I got closer and closer to the Universal part of my day, I felt nervous, excited, and I was reminiscing on my experience the first time around. Then, when I got to the Universal building, I took pictures of every little thing and I have the entire thing on video. Everyone thought it was so corny, but it was really exciting for me and I wanted to remember every moment. It feels more emotional when you’re on your own and you have to fight and struggle to get there. The rewards are that much sweeter. This time around, whether or not I have the success of Danity Kane doesn’t matter because I fought on my own and made everything happen on my own. Even a tiny bit of success means the world.”
Although you cannot download the MP3 just yet, you can head over toAmazon and check out the sales page for Automatic! Aubrey will be once again appearing on Showbiz Tonight, so make sure you tune your TV’s to CNN’s HLN at 5pm ET/2pm PT to catch it live, or at 11pm all time zones for the re-run!
“I think that dogs have this beautiful innocence,” Aubrey O’Day, actress, singer and former Danity Kane member, tells OK! in this week’s issue. “I think that they wake up every morning and they are excited about life and their day. And when you aren’t excited, they make you feel it, too.”
Which is why Aubrey treasures her teacup Maltese, Ginger, and her Pomeranian, Mary Ann.
She says she colors their hair to reflect the changes in their lives — using a vet-approved dye.
“My dogs are my family,” she says. “I can 100 percent, forever say I love them unconditionally.”
